Even before he took office, State Deputy Jerry Grillo was preparing Florida State Council to take full advantage of the Internet and World Wide Web. When he finally took office Jerry made sure that Florida State Council had its own official website up and ready for action. He even did much of the web design himself. In addition, Jerry made sure that every Florida council with an E-mail address was connected to the Florida State K of C E-mail Network. This enabled rapid intercommunication between the State Council and local councils in Florida via E-mail. A message sent to one E-mail address could be received by every council in the State of Florida. At Jerry's request, this first official Florida State Council website and the Florida State K of C E-mail Network were hosted and managed by Knightsite.com.

As a result of his vision, Florida State Council continues to maintain a strong online presence and serves as a role model for other state and local councils to follow. Florida State Council's Internet home is no longer hosted by Knightsite, but thanks to Jerry Grillo's pioneering efforts, it continues to develop as a world class website.

Florida State Council's Jerry Grillo died while still serving his term as State Deputy.
It was a great loss to both the State of Florida to our Order.
